Today is my early post for Memorial Day because I do not work tomorrow in commemoration for the holiday. This day means alot to me because it allows us to remember the people who risked their lives for our freedoms. So many people take this for granted everyday, and do not even acknowledge the men and women who put their lives on the line. I come from a family full of men and women who served their country and look up to each of them. So in honor of memorial day I have three things to post.
The first is the new Trey Songz video for "Your Side of The Bed". This was one of my favorite songs on the album next to Jupiter Love and Love Lost so I'm glad he chose this song. Keri Hilson plays his spouse in the video who is called into combat. You can watch the video below this text. The photo above is Tom Cruise in A Few Good Men which has recently been playing on Bravo. If you havent seen this film check it out. It is amazing and if your into style at all you'll see nothing beats a military uniform. Very Sharp. Finally I put a picture from the film Brothers starring one of my favorite actors Jake Gyllenhal. This film was a real mind fuck because it puts you in a situation that one hopes and prays to never be in. Nonetheless its an amazing film, but hard to watch.

So i just started watching Glee. When I heard this song on it I was blown away.
But a room is not a house and a house is not a home
When the two of us are far apart
And one of us has a broken heart

No Bullshit

Chris Brown - No Bullshit from Terrell Johnson on Vimeo.

Im still not sure if I like Chris Browns rap tracks but I finally got around to downloading and listening to Fan of a Fan and I gotta admit its pretty dope. There are a few stand out tracks and I think, No Bullshit and Deuces are the hottest tracks. Every guy I think knows exactly what no bullshit means. HA.
Regardless I actually think this is the best marketing scheme ever. Brown tried to do his good guy thing and released Grafitti with songs like Crawl but the world didnt by it (and they didnt buy it!) So I tihnk his best thing is to play off this bad boy image. Strange that a guy could beat a woman, make songs about how wrong he can treat them, and be liked by women even more. I guess feminism is dead.
Enough rant. Hot song. Dope Video. Return of Chris Breezy.

Grad Party.

My family through me a big Graduation Party and I had a great time. Alot of the fam and friends came through and we were able to get alot of people from my hometown in Columbus and throughout Ohio to come over. We all had a great time, great food, and certainly had a few drinks. It was really awesome. I need to get a picture of my cakes! I had two of them, one was a baby pic with my camera and the other was my senior grad pic that my Dad took. Special thanks to my brother for hooking me and my friends up with some Dom P. champagne and some money for the club. Me and the gang hit up Club Silk afterward to celebrate!
Man o man, from Columbus to San Diego to Brooklyn. I love my life!

Still Life To Motion: Behind The Scenes With Nonsense from Alex Ingram on Vimeo.

I recently got the Zi8 and I love it. A family friend of ours had it and never used it so she gave it to me. I told her I will definetly make good use of it! I am just now starting to get into video again and this is perfect for what I use it for which is short travel documentaries or quick interviews. It is as small as a blackberry but packs a huge punch in terms of quality. I'll put up a test video later to show the quality. Its really amazing and shoots in full 1080 HD vid. I also got a 16GB memory card with it so ya I'm definetly pretty happy!

New Category?

Maybe I need to add a sports category because the playoffs have been amazing. I have been pretty upset now that the Cavs are out but I still got my Lakers out there. And stuff like this makes it amazing to watch.

4 Minutes.

I love this song and the video. Its almost like a movie, because it tells a full story through the course of the song.
Before Graduation I had to say goodbye to someone that I might not get the chance to see again. It was probably one of the hardest things I ever did. I relate the feeling to this song. Except I have learned my lesson on chasing after someone who doesnt want to be caught.

Chris Brown. Then And Now.

"When I first saw you, I said to my self girl who you lookin good for, who you talkin to, who that fella is standin right next to you"

I swear Chris Brown was the next big thing, but got lost along the way. I wonder if he would have kept the his squeaky clean image, if he would still be on top. Heres a look at Chris Brown then and now. And while I may like the beat to the his new song, "Holla At Me" below, i can't say that the song my favorite, or that it helps his image at all.
What do you like better. The old CB or the new, rapping CB.

strike a pose.

I was pretty disappointed with ANTM this season, however I think that Raina and Krista were the best choices to make it to the finals. I was really pulling for Raina because she is drop dead gorgeous. She is hott! I think Krista had a good face/body for modeling, but rarely do they pick the hott girl for the win. And as I figured Raina didn't win. I'm sure Krista and Raina will have a great career ahead of them.

CSUSM Capstone 2010 from Alex Ingram on Vimeo.

Unfortunately I didnt take much footage from the Capstone exhibit but I was able to edit what I had into a little capstone experience. Check it out set to the music of one of my favorite bands right now, MGMT.
Congratulations  <---- Get their album here.

Lupe & The Neptunes. It Don't Get Better.

And babygirl what does it matter where you purse from, your hair done, your nails did, you ass fat, but your dumb! Lupe is comedy. This song is so tight and I'm still waiting on the CD to come out. Man we are lucky to be in such a great era for hip hop, Cudi, Lupe, Drake, Kanye and many more!

If I leave and I don't see her, I feel like I really have a regret, you know like imma go home and imma think what if..."

I never got a chance to blog about my Capstone exhibit! Last week was my final week of school and I got to display my Capstone work along with the other senior students. My work entitled "Sweet Dreams, Night Terrors" was my subtle approach to with my senior year and experiences, relating dreams to feeling more true than reality, and reality becoming almost completely surreal. I feel like this project allowed me to step outside of my typical box and produce something that was much different from my typical aesthetic. For the project I had to also write a 10 page paper and study several artists and concepts, in which I went in depth on Tim Burton and the film "Ed Wood", Stanley Kubrick, the film The Science of Sleep and Waking Life, along with many other titles and themes. While I feel like the work could have been much more elaborate, I had time constraints along with my 3 jobs and applying to Grad school and I feel like this is a cohesive project that I hope to build and expand upon one day in the form of a short film.
Regardless I feel as though everyones work was amazing and I was really proud to see what everyone had produced. To my classmates and friends if you check out this blog, I say to you job well done, I wish you the best in the future, and if your ever in NYC dont hesitate to look me up. I still feel like the connections we have made are the key to our future and networking means everything in this field. Feel free to contact me anytime at

I feel like this song could have came out in any time period, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's, 2010's... and would have still rocked. nikka costa like a feather. im not to hyped on the quality of the vid but the song is so cool. I heard it first a long time ago on a Tommy Hilfiger commercial and somehow it popped into my head tonight.

Today I am enjoying the first day that I am done with college by relaxing at home and watching my favorite movie (Next to A Clockwork Orange and Rocky) The Godfather. This movie is perfect. I have no critisms and The Godfather 2 is actually just as good if not better than the first. This is definetly one of my favorite scenes in the movie. Gotta love Sonny Corleone!

The artist.. Kevin Cruz

Muse Cover Band

Yesterday I got the opportunity to attend my friend Kevins Art Exhibition. He had a Muse Coverband play leading into his work and then unveiled it to the public. The work was amazing and everything was created specifically for the show, and produced in a 2 month span. Check out his website at and his blog at

D Wade App.

Dwayne Wade is one of the few NBA players that have a great style. (And of course King James) This app is pretty cool. It allows you to mix and match clothing options right on your phone. The NBA Playoffs are amazing this year and it looks like I might be able to see my home team the Cavs take the Championship. But they need some competition... so right now Imma root for L.A.!

Heartbreak Warfare.

John Mayer is definitely in my top 5 favorite artists of our generation. This song from Battlefield Studies is one of the realest songs I've ever heard. I still intend on shooting a video to this one, which I plan to do to this summer. Heartbreak is truly like a battlefield, and it feels like there is nothing you can do to win.
"I dont care if we dont sleep at all tonight, lets just fix this whole thing now."
This video is dope, it feels like something I would want to shoot, especially because it has a grainy, black and white feel, which represents the song in my opinion because its about something that everyone can relate to making it timeless like black and white photography/film. I like the vibe to it and I feel like if it had a narrative to the video it would have come across cheesy.
